Tina has been such a great find! My 13 year old lab mix doesn't really like anyone much anymore but she is always excited to see Tina.
It's important to stay on top of grooming to keep the perfect hairstyle for your pet
Tina is the owner of Scruffy to Fluffy. She started grooming in 2008, when she lived in Pullman, WA, at Zelda’s Pet Grooming. There she learned a lot, from basic coat care to special hair clips. From there she met a top class German Shepherd breeder, Nick Lungu, who taught her a lot about how to handle dogs, to deal with dogs who deal with fear through aggression, and most importantly to love all dogs no matter what their “baggage” may be. Then she moved to Maryland and worked in a Petsmart for a few months. There she learned from a number of other groomers, not only how to improve her grooming skills but also her handling techniques. From there she moved back to her home town, Tucson, AZ. She started working at Posh Paws Grooming in 2011, where she worked her way to becoming the salon manager. With the encouragement from those around her and hard work and drive, she decided to open up her own shop, Scruffy to Fluffy. She has worked hard in making sure the place runs smoothly, both for her employees and especially the dogs and cats. She is fair and honest, and always willing to listen. Tina always keeps the dogs best interest at heart, making sure that every dog is treated with the same love and care that she would expect her dogs would receive. She is very patient with all two and four legged clients. She is especially skilled at calming even the most worked up or nervous dogs. Tina has two dogs, Chili and Rebel, and is looking forward to adopting a desert tortoise, Georgia.
Laurie is a dog whisperer, and a cat whisperer!!! She has been grooming for over 25 years, she was the owner of Royal K9 before she tried to retire, but the world of grooming called her back. She picked back up at Posh Paws grooming, where she met Tina and became great coworkers and even better friends. Rarely will she ever say no to someone who is calling for help regarding a very grungy dog, or a matted kitty. She helps to make her clients feel welcomed, and she makes sure the dog feels that they are safe at Scruffy to Fluffy. If anyone of us, or the dogs, become flustered, she is always wholehearted, and helps all of us to get through the day. She is thankful for you sharing your pets with her. Laurie has two dogs, Brie and Gillie, one cat, Alex, and two horses, Bob and Melanie.
Corina has been with Scruffy to fluffy since September 2014, just a month after we opened. She always strives to maintain a high level of integrity. She does all that she can to help ensure that the company run smoothly. She has passion for the dogs and cats, she loves all animals as if there were her own. She usually can be found singing to the dogs to keep them all relaxed. She spends time at the hermitage spending time with all the kittens and cats, even taking what she has learned at Scruffy to Fluffy to the shelter and brushing the cats to keep them from getting matted. She also loves dogs so much that she takes some into her home to babysit. She has two dogs, Gracie a lab mix and Max a Doberman/Shepherd mix and a cute little cat.
Alea started with us shadowing for her JTED program the summer before her senior year then got hired, because of her hard work and love for all animals. Once she graduates from Cienega High School, she will continue to go on to college to learn all that she can. She has a very calm energy that helps keep the dogs relaxed, she is also sweet and quite, hard working, and willing to learn. Alea is always there for you and all the animals. It's always so nice to see her cuddle with one of the dogs, and stroking them as to lessen their anxieties. We are excited that she is learning how to groom on top of bathing. Alea has two talkative pups, Kiowa and Koda who are Alaskan Klee Kai, which look like small huskies.
Amanda started working with us in October 2015. Amanda graduated as a vet tech from Pima Community College May 2016 and is heading to take her exams to become a certified vet tech. She gives a healthy amount of time to all the dogs, and cats, and helps out both in the front and back of Scruffy to Fluffy. She always has a sweet disposition about her, and is always good natured. She is very understanding of her tasks, and is resourceful at a moment’s notice. Hard working and very smart, she loves to chat with the dogs, making them feel more relaxed. Amanda is learning to groom and doing great, with the knowledge that she has learned from school she has the confidence with the dogs, which is always the hardest part of working with them. We look forward to seeing her grow in the dog care field. She has 2 dogs, Princess a Schnauzer mix and Jessica a Schnauzer and chickens.
Let's put together a plan for grooming, whether it is at home with you or here with us. Keeping your pets coat in good condition will help prevent any underlying conditions.
Tina is the absolute best! Tina has been working with our Claira for over three years, amazing us with her talents every visit. Claira loves Tina, as does our whole family!

Don't worry, our questions are just to learn more about your pet and what we are doing for your pet
We treat every animal that walks through our doors as though it was our own.
Opened 2014 by Tina and Beth. We aim to provide a happy and fun environment for dogs and cats of all ages. Quality care is what we strive for with your dog’s or cat’s well-being is our number one priority. We have top of the line equipment and products to ensure your pets safety. With an open place for your pet we have created an atmosphere that most dogs and their owners can’t wait to come in. With each pet we take in, we focus on the overall care, emotional and physical, to make sure that we do what is in the best interest for the pet. We will always take the time to listen to your needs and offer you choices that you may not have known were out there. We have a positive and low-key energy which keeps the dogs and cats from being overwhelmed by stress and fear. Time is made for them so they can get use to their surroundings, perhaps a little playtime, so they can get to know their groomer and bather. By taking our time, we are able to give the dogs the best experience possible. Every dog leaves our shop looking and feeling great!
